own resin cabs, etched brass sides and resin details and full interiors The model will be powered by a Hornby motor, picking up
off all eight wheels of that coach and will be DCC ready. We are able to provide the colour scheme of your choice,
together with unit numbers, headcodes and
destinations of your choice as well. |
The 312s were based on
the successful Class 310 design with
their introduction being in1975. The lessons learnt from the 310s meant that
the jumper cables and sockets were now fully exposed and the wrap round driver
windows were replaced with flat screens. There were three sub
classes of units, but externally all looked the same. 312/0 - 26 four car
units to work out of Kings Cross on the outer suburban services. 312/1 - 19 four car units
to work out of Liverpool Street on outer suburban services. 312/2 - 4 four car
units to work with class 310s in and around Birmingham. Both the 312/0 and
312/2 sets would eventually be transferred to work out of Liverpool Street The units carried a
wide range of liveries, from Plain BR Blue, through Network SouthEast to
First Great Eastern. As we produce models in
the schemes, these will be added to the gallery. All of the units were
withdrawn by the summer of 2004 along with other “slam door” stock. . |
